Hi All,

We are having issues with one of our new server 2012 host servers being able to contact our DC and be updated with new GP policies. They can ping each other and communicate, but now when I add new policies with the DC they do not go to that machine.

When I try to gpupdate /force this is what I get. This is especially irritating because of a policy issue and Hyper-V.

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.2.9200]

(c) 2012 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Windows\system32>gpupdate /force
Updating policy...

Computer policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were enc
ountered:

The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \****\SysVol\****\Policies\{26CADD7E-003C-4EB4-
AA36-AB92887691AD}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Grou
p Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue ma
y be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:
a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.
b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller
has not replicated to the current domain controller).
c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.
User Policy update has completed successfully.

To diagnose the failure, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H GPReport.html f
rom the command line to access information about Group Policy results.
