Hi,
We have two HP ML 350 G6 with HP NC375T running Windows Server 2012 RC. These servers are connected to a D-Link DGS-3120-24TC using LACP on all four ports on each server.
Lets call them Host A and Host B
I've set the Load Balancing to "Address Hash". This works greats before I add the new team to a Hyper-V switch. I get around 300 MiB/s over SMB between the Host A and Host B when copying large files.
When I add the team to a Hyper-V switch and get a virtual NIC instead (running at 10 Gbe) I only get 115 MiB/s between Host A and Host B. So I only get the performance of 1 gbe link.
But here's the twist. I'ts only the virtual NIC on the hosts that has these performance issues. If I copy a file from Host A to a VM running on Host A I get around 400 MiB/s when the traffic never leaves the virtual switch. If I copy a file from Host B to a VM running on Host A I only get 115 MiB/s. When copying between a VM running on Host A to a VM running on Host B i get around 150-190 MiB/s. So this proves that the teams are working under the Hyper-V switch, just not for the hosts virtual NIC.
Any suggestions?
